(More customer reviews)C.J.S. (Jonathan) Hayward collected several of his essays together in this self-published work, of which the longest is "The Sign of the Grail", which titles the book. As he moves, spiritually, from Western Christian faith models into Eastern Orthodoxy, Mr. Hayward stops along the way to recount his experiences, observations and new ways of seeing. As a reader interested in all matters Grail, I appreciate Mr. Hayward's contemporary takes on ancient framworks and his rigorous self-examination. He references a number of favorite authors -- C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle, etc. The manuscripts could have done with a good proofread, as the text, at points, is rough around the edges; but it didn't take away from a valuable experience.
