(More customer reviews)For those who were never in Vietnam this book serves as an accurate daily account of what it was like being a Marine, the daily dangers and life of a Marine in a combat situation. The author draws from his daily journal and provides detail and commentary that is outstanding. This book is not your traditional book as it describes what it was like from the fighting man's perspective.
This book is well worth the money and I thank the author for keeping it true to the spirit of the men and their actions.
