It is an intelligent, well written, action-packed piece of historical fiction that depicts a time when the church ruled the land, and the man most skilled with the blade could obtain nearly anything he wanted.
On the cover of this book there is a sticker that states "As good as Conn Iggulden or your money back." Well, I believe Angus Donald is BETTER than Conn Iggulden - this book is excellent.
